South Indian Bank FASTag Program is a simple to use and reloadable tag which enables automatic deduction of toll charges and lets you pass through the toll plaza without stopping for the cash transaction. South Indian Bank in association with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) have partnered with the project for the issuance of FASTag for Vehicles.
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Indian Highways Management Company Ltd (IHMCL) have launched the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) system which would help the Vehicles with a FASTag (RFID) tag to cruise through the Toll gates. he FASTags can be preloaded with money and this can be utilized for your vehicle toll payments electronically. National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) system is based on the unique identification of the vehicle details on the FASTags. When the Vehicle passes through the Toll gate, The RFID reader at the Toll plaza receives information about the vehicle and the Toll amount is deducted automatically from the FASTag, thus saving your valuable time.
