The Paytm FASTag is a simple & reusable tag that works on the radio-frequency identification technology (RFID). It needs to be affixed on the vehicle’s windscreen. Each tag is linked to a registered Paytm Payments Bank account to facilitate instant automatic deduction of toll charges. This program is part of the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) initiative, rolled out by NPCI under the guidelines of NHAI & IHMCL.
Paytm FASTag is a reloadable prepaid tag that will be mounted on middle of your vehicle’s front windshield. It enables you to travel hassle-free through Toll Plaza without stopping & applicable toll charges will automatically get deducted from your Paytm wallet. The tag is based on RFID technology and is a part of Government of India initiative.

How to Apply Online for Paytm FasTag
- Go to the link Online Registration for Paytm FasTag
- Select the Vehicle details and amount to be paid.
- you will be redirected to the paytm mall
- Upload the required documents that is front photo of RC and back photo of RC with maximum 2 KB size.
- Click on buy button and Make payment to Buy Paytm Fastag.
Paytm FASTag works in a highly user friendly manner, with minimum effort required from your end. Follow the below steps and zip through NHAI Tolls
- Step – 1: Post purchase, fix the tag in middle of your vehicle’s front windshield.
- Step – 2: Make sure sufficient money is added to your Paytm Wallet.
- Step – 3: Enter dedicated FASTag lane at NHAI Toll Plaza. Reader at the plaza will read your tag’s detail and applicable Toll charges will automatically get deducted from your Paytm wallet.
How to recharge Paytm FASTag instantly
- Simply add money to your Paytm Wallet and FASTag wallet will automatically reserve an amount from it (no separate recharge of Paytm FASTag is required).
- FASTag can be used for toll payments only after 20 mins of adding money to the Paytm Wallet.
To complete KYC of your paytm wallet,
- Log in to your Paytm App.
- Click on the left top corner of your Paytm app.
- Select my profile and click on active now button or you can also tap on passbook.
- Choose the document from the list on the screen and fill the document details and click on submit button.
- On successful submission, your minimum kyC will be complete.
- Your monthly wallet limit will be Rs.10,000/- for the next 1 year.
- Click on upgrade account for increased wallet limit and lifetime validity.
- Know about your nearest KYC center by selecting your state and district. The details of your nearest KYC centrer will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
- To upgrade your wallet limit, please carry any of the documents like PAN card, passport, voter ID, driving license, NREGE job card to your nearby KYC center.
